Call of Stone, 2019 My take on the Druid Class in Dungeons and Dragons. I wanted to focus away from the common white man in green leathers.
Hunters Moon, Cover Work, 2017, Digital, Model, Erica McCracken Client wanted a simple cover layout that could be used on Digital storefronts like amazon. it was to have symmetry, implying space travel , combat and danger for the main bounty hunter character.
The Fallen, Submission for The ART Orders’ 2019 book of mermaid art.
the Idea was that a mermaid finds and mourns for a fallen giant what died exploring the deep.
Law Bringer, Digital, Book Cover, 2016,
Also Published in Infected By Art 2017, Model: Elly Skube
Personal Work : Used as example of book cover creation abilities. Depicting a steampunk marshall would would have to bring order in a time of war and anarchistic machines. my goal was to create a striking image while implying a great deal of story.
Decepticons EJECT AND ATTACK!! 2018 This image is of the Hasbro Transformers character Soundwave. I created this as a test for myself and to show off during an interview for a position on the property. You may notice changes to the traditional gen1 design of Soundwave of shoulder speakers so his espionage form is more useful as a surveillance device instead of a 80’s mini cassette recorder. The featured cassette bots are Frenzy, Ravage, Buzzsaw, and Laserbeak. Overall I feel the image was a success being that the hiring art director liked the image and that Soundwave is my favorite childhood character from the series..
Rangers Rest, /2017/2019 Digital,
Later Published Infected by Art Vol. 6
and in ImagineFx Magazine in may of 2018.
Model, Erica McCracken Part of a series of images detailing my own take on the Classic Dungeons and dragons player classes. I wanted to depart from the usual way they are shown, so here is a more peaceful moment with the ranger class.
Spinosaurus Aegyptacus: The River King, Variant image used by Lone Shark Games, Digital, 2017
Optimus , the Last Prime , digital,2018
This image is of the Hasbro Transformers character Optimus Prime. I created this as a test for myself and to show off during an interview for a position on the property. I made some design changes to his original Cybertronian form to make him feel bulkier and more robust as a leader of one of the warring factions.
Art brief called for an tiger man in the jungle growling at skull in his hands wearing clawed weapons. I decided he should have a little cave environment where all his skulls were displayed to keep people away.
The Sea troll image called for the creature being covered with flotsam to disguise itself/ use as armor. I asked if I could display the troll having nailed the bits of wood and detritus to itself as armor ,as trolls regenerate and it would not care about temporary pain in order to snag a meal. Also do not usually build or craft anything like traditional armor so this felt properly brutish. The Ad loved that idea so we ran with it.
Basic Character card, Client requested simple bright colors. and during development of the image I had the chance to build the crossbow for reference and as convention prop. which you can see in the Maquettes and Builds section of this site.
